Frostys Copper Top is a sorrel stallion raised and trained by Jud McAfee, my late husband. Jud and Gilbert Reynolds made a deal, Jud rode "Par" for a few months and as payment, Gilbert gave Jud pick of his filly colts that year. Jud chose "Maiden" (Par's full sister) and then also purchased "Rogers Pretty Baby", the Dam of "Par" and "Maiden". Jud and I raised "Lucky" and "Copper" out of "Rogers Pretty Baby" and by "Frostys Tops".  Frostys Copper Top excels in the roping arena as well as the barrel racing arena. Tyler Holzum still ropes on "Copper" and I run barrels on him.

Frostys Copper Top is by Frostys Tops. Frostys Tops was owned by Gilbert Reynolds. Gilbert purchased Frostys Tops from the Gill ranch. He was an outstanding rope horse with a wonderful disposition and a lot of speed.  He was one of the great head horses of the PRCA in the 90's and ridden by many of the top headers. Frostys Tops progeny have proven themselves over and over in rodeo and roping arenas.

Frostys Copper Top is a full brother to "Par" the head horse ridden multiple times at the National Finals Rodeo by top cowboys such as Trevor Brazile, Wade Wheatley and Jason Stewart. "Par" has been hauled and competed on at Pro Rodeos for many years.

I also own two full sisters to this stallion. Frostys Lucky Charm has been ridden the last few years by Tyler Holzum and many PRCA Steer Wrestlers as a haze horse. Tyler also used "Lucky" as a heel horse. In 2007 Tyler won the Russ Santos Memorial Team Roping in Oakdale, California. This mare was also awarded the "Best Head Horse" award by the California Team Roping Association Ten Steer committee in 2002, ridden and trained by Jud McAfee. Lucky is now retired and in 2009 she had her first baby, a palomino horse, by Codys Shining Spark.

The other full sister is Pretty Bar Maiden, "Maiden" was an all around mare that was used on the ranch, as a head horse at Senior Pro Rodeos and as both a head horse and a heel horse at team roping jackpots. "Maiden" is a broodmare now.  She has produced a bay filly by Trappers Bar Drop, a black filly by War Black Ike, a Palomino horse colt  and a sorrel filly by Codys Shining Spark so far.
